Terms of Service

By registering for or using BnB Kiosk (accessible at bnbkiosk.net), you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. About BnB Kiosk
BnB Kiosk is a guest information and property management platform for short-term rental hosts, operated by Webfootprint, a New Zealand business, under the BnB Direct brand. The service provides a TV-based guest information kiosk, a cleaner management portal, calendar management tools, and related features accessible via bnbkiosk.net.
2. Intellectual Property & Copyright
- BnB Kiosk, including all software, design, interfaces, code, branding, logos, and documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of Webfootprint. All rights reserved.
- The service is protected by copyright law and international intellectual property treaties. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, modification, or reverse-engineering of any part of the service is strictly prohibited.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service solely for its intended purpose of managing your short-term rental property. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
- Content you enter into the platform (property descriptions, house rules, images etc.) remains your property. By entering it, you grant Webfootprint a licence to store and display it as necessary to provide the service.
- You must not copy, resell, sublicence, or create derivative works from BnB Kiosk without express written permission from Webfootprint.
- The name "BnB Kiosk", "BnB Direct", the associated logos, and all related marks are trademarks of Webfootprint. You may not use them without prior written consent.
3. Free Trial
- New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features.
- No credit card is required to start a trial.
- At the end of the trial period, the kiosk TV display will pause automatically.
- Your settings, content and clean history are retained for 90 days after expiry.
- One free trial per person / email address / property. Attempting to circumvent this restriction by creating multiple accounts is a violation of these terms.
4. Paid Licences
- Annual licences are billed once per year per property at the rates displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Major credit and debit cards are accepted.
- Licences are activated automatically within minutes of confirmed payment.
- Licences are non-refundable after activation, except where required by applicable New Zealand consumer law.
- Annual renewal is your responsibility. A reminder email will be sent before expiry where possible, but we are not liable for missed renewals.
- We reserve the right to change pricing for future renewal periods. Any price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your login credentials with unauthorised parties.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, copy, or resell any part of the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Display false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful content to guests via the kiosk.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any other user's account or data.
- Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform.
Breach of acceptable use may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
6. Data, Privacy & Security
- We store the property content you enter (Wi-Fi details, house rules, cleaner information etc.) to provide the service. This data is yours and is not shared with third parties.
- Cleaner PINs are stored as one-way hashed values and are never accessible in plain text.
- We do not collect personal data from your guests. The kiosk display is read-only.
- Clean logs, booking data and property settings are stored securely and accessible only to you and authorised cleaners you assign.
- We implement reasonable security measures including encrypted sessions, rate limiting, and device enrollment controls. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own account credentials.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately and revoke all enrolled devices from your dashboard.

7. Warranty Disclaimer
BnB Kiosk is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Webfootprint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for losses arising from service unavailability, data loss, security breaches caused by your own negligence, or actions of third parties (including payment processors or hosting providers).
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not responsible for service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, hosting provider failures, or force majeure events.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to other users or the service, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may cancel by simply not renewing your annual licence — no formal cancellation is required.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify active licence holders of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
